Farout Fishing Safaris - trips for shark and tiger fish to Africa

Shark update 2008

Adam and Johnny recently met up for a South African trip without clients purely to check out some new guides and locations we had heard good things about. We were hoping we may get a decent South African alternative site to add to our existing Namibian shark portfolio, and maybe pick up a good guide, but we could never have expected the level of success we got.

Johnny was delighted to land his first hammerhead and displayed it proudly, but our new guide Owen took the wind out of his sails by declaring "that's not a hammerhead...this is a hammerhead". Johnny thought it was quite a close run thing, so as a bit of fun (no prizes) see if you can gauge which is the bigger fish of the two without the aid of scales in the picture on the left:

Highlight of the trip was, however, undoubtedly reserved for the absolute monster ragged-toothed shark landed by Adam later in the trip alsthough, for the specimen hunter, a little trip inland proved fruitful when the boys bagged a variety of species including largmouth bass on rubber lures, and rainbow trout on the fly.

All of these fishing options are available now for our clients, and hopefully the mini-gallery below will whet the appetite. Please drop us a line if you'd like more information, or you fancy a go for these beasts yourself, alternatively, why not send for our free DVD to get more information?
