As you know I had never fished before in my life. It came as a big surprise that for my 60th birthday my family gave me a weeks fishing trip with Far Out Fishing on the Okavango river. I thought they had gone mad. Well I can truly say it was a trip of a life time. From the moment we left Gaborone I was awestruck by the whole episode. Even though I battled to cast after your lessons on the camp lawn, you kept on encouraging us. Then the moment when I caught my first fish, yes, my first fish was a 2.5 kg tiger fish!! WOW . And so it went on all day I think I caught 6 Tigers and 3 cat Fish and Colin and John caught just as many if not more. The Barbel Run had come back specially for us!! And even you had difficulty in believing it. I think we lost count of the number of tigers and catfish and then there was the three spot bream. Incredible. Adam it was an amazing week with good friends, great company , good food and tremendous fishing and an incredible guide and host. Thanks again and here’s to next time.

Adam took me on my first ever sea fishing trip in the amazing setting of the Skeleton Coast in Namibia. Runs were regular pretty much all day, every day, and every time you hooked into one, you certainly knew about it. Not so much a fight with these fantastic creatures, more a "hang on and hope".

My first visit to Africa was incredible, thanks to Farout Fishing. Adam met me at the airport and looked after me for the duration. I caught 10 sharks and over 40 Tigerfish in 10 days. You cannot believe the strength of those sharks - an amazing trip!

I wish I'd been more controlled. I was hoping for a picture of me landing a bronze whaler with my cool intact, instead I look slightly shocked in a picture of me and my best fish, with Adam holding the monster by the tail (it's taller than me and I'm over 6 foot!). Can't wait to get back out there and complete the double with the tiger fish trip. Great company, great fun, great experience.

I was lucky enough to take a trip with Adam up to the Okavango River in Botswana. A fantastic few days was had by all, the fishing was like nothing I'd ever experienced, the lodge was friendly and the welcome warm (and the beer cold). I'm now the proud owner of a wall full of hugely blown up framed photos of me and my tigers (and a couple of bonus catfish too).

The wife's not too happy, but they're staying up as a memento of the trip of a lifetime!
